Genus Ordinis Dei komt met negende video bij de compositie Exorcism

De symfonische deathmetalband Genus Ordinis Dei heeft nu de negende video online gezet. Exorcism is de volgende in een serie van prachtige video’s die bij elkaar het complete verhaal van Eleanor vertellen en vertonen. De videoreeks is de visuele ondersteuning van het uitstekende album Glare Of Deliverance. Over Exorcism kun je in de review het volgende lezen:
“Genus Ordinis Dei weet je geregeld op het verkeerde been te zetten en in Exorcism is dat niet anders. De start is wonderschoon en lijkt een soort Spaanse eftelinggevoel op te roepen, totdat Steven Olda met een zwaar basgeluid dit gevoel doet verdampen en onheilspellend de uitdrijving vorm krijgt. In een riff die Gojira- of Orbit Culturewaardig is zet zanger Niccolò de toon met zijn loodzware stemgeluid. Zwaar en langzaam stijgt de complete muziekbasis naar grote hoogten. De riff die naar het einde toewerkt is megastraf. En te kort, want zo’n riff zou in een extendend version minuten mogen duren.” (Rockportaal)
“The ninth episode of this series reaches the climax of Eleanor’s adventure. After the abjuration fails and her bond with the occult is revealed, she is declared possessed by the Devil and The Inquisitor performs an exorcism on her. At this point Eleanor reaches the peak of her transformation and the situation changes dramatically” zegt zanger en gitarist Nick Key. “This episode shows the meaning of Eleanor’s journey. All the events of the prior episodes brought her here, face to face with the Inquisitor. She now has the chance and the will to commit the most extreme action, that of becoming worthy to serve The Fallen and fulfill the ritual.”
Gitarist Tommy voegt daaraan toe:  “Both Nick and Emilia performed brilliantly, especially at the beginning of the episode when they dance on a walzer. The dance is a metaphor for the Inquisitor that overwhelms an exhausted Eleanor, playing with her before releasing his power on her, like a feline playing with its prey before killing it. This is the most dense episode of the series and the turns of events will leave you speechless, it’s a promise.”
