Destroyers Of All
Met trots presenteert Destroyers Of All de nieuwe single Hellfall, afkomstig van het nieuwe album The Vile Manifesto. De band laat een geluid horen dat elementen uit de thrash- , death- en zelfs blackmetal in zich heeft met daarin nog wat accenten uit de hardrock en de progressieve metal. De tekst voor Hellfall is geïnspireerd door de death flights.
“Death flights (Spanish: vuelos de la muerte) are a form of extrajudicial killing practised by military forces in possession of aircraft: victims are dropped to their death from airplanes or helicopters into oceans, large rivers or even mountains. Death flights have been carried out in a number of internal conflicts, including the 1957 Battle of Algiers and by the junta dictatorship during the Argentine Dirty War between 1974 and 1983.”

Voorman Gene zegt over de nieuwe single: “After the virus-related postponement of the release recently, we are happy that we can finally present the video for I Am The Mission to the fans. We teamed up with Ronald Matthes to create an amazing video trilogy based on our album concept and I think the result is amazing! Witchbound
30 april komt de Duitse melodische metalband Witchbound met het tweede album op de proppen via El Puerto Records. Maak alvast kennis met het album met de video bij End Of Paradise.
Ultimatium
Vanuit het Finse Suomussalmi opereert Ultimatum die met het vierde album Virtuality hun carrière vervolgt. De progmetalband heeft een video bij Ghost Of Yesterday uitgebracht.
Blackbriar
De symfonische gothic rockband Blackbriar (NL) heeft zojuist de 2e single-video getiteld ‘Deadly Diminuendo’ uitgebracht, afkomstig van het langverwachte debuutalbum ‘The Cause of Shipwreck’ dat op vrijdag 23 april uitkomt. De eerste single-video ‘The Séance’ verscheen vorige maand.
Drummer René Boxem: “Het duurt nog ruim een maand voordat ons debuutalbum ‘The Cause of Shipwreck’ de wijde wereld in gaat. Dat is voor ons uiteraard een bijzonder spannende moment. Maar eigenlijk geldt dat wel voor elke nieuwe track die we uitbrengen, zoals vandaag de nieuwe single ‘Deadly Diminuendo’. Het is de opvolger van ‘The Séance’ die vorige maand verscheen. Daarop kregen we enorm positieve reacties, net als op de bijhorende video.”
“De video voor ‘Deadly Diminuendo’ hebben we bewust heel sober gehouden omdat het nummer zo ontzettend krachtig is. Het is één van de favoriete albumtracks van onze zangeres Zora. (lachend): En ik luister er zelf ook heel graag naar!”
Blackbriar bekleedt een bijzondere plaats in de Nederlandse muziekscene en is muzikaal en visueel even uniek als eigenwijs: orkestrale symfonische gothic rock en dromerige poppy metal, gekenmerkt door spannende en meeslepende composities. Duister en melancholisch met een sneeuwwit-bloedrood romantisch palet. En dan is er ook nog frontvrouw Zora Cock, die de band met haar betoverende verschijning en vooral met haar fabelachtige en loepzuivere zang naar grote hoogte tilt.
Sinds 2012 werkt de band non-stop aan zijn muzikale oeuvre, dat inmiddels drie EP’s (‘Fractured Fairytales’ [2017]; ‘We’d Rather Burn’ [2018] en ‘Our Mortal Remains’ uit 2019) en zes singles omvat, waaronder de heavy debuutsingle single ‘Ready to Kill’ uit mei 2014. Volledig onafhankelijk en daardoor compromisloos ten opzichte van de hoogstaande kwaliteit van haar muziek en visuals, bond deze internationaal gevierde groep afgelopen decennium tijd een grote schare loyale fanatieke fans in binnen- en buitenland aan zich.
Ainur
Geïnspireerd door J.R.R. Tolkien komt Ainur met het nieuwe album War Of The Jewels. Het collectief heeft bij Apocalypse een video geschoten.
Mädhouse
Bij ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records komt Mädhouse vandaan. Het nieuwe album Bad Habits wordt op 23 april uitgebracht en je kunt nu genieten van het geluid van de band in deze nieuwe video.
