Electric Callboy
De naamswijziging is een feit, maar dat betekent niet dat Electric Callboy muzikaal een andere weg is ingeslagen. Gelukkig blijven sommige dingen gewoon bij het oude en heeft de band met Spaceman weer een single gemaakt die alles in zich heeft om je te vermaken, om je vrolijk te maken en je meeneemt in humoristische video die de single vergezelt. Daarbij wist EC ook nog eens de populaire Duitse rapper Finch te strikken om een woordje mee te doen.

Rammstein
Wanneer we het hebben over ongewijzigde feiten, dan hoort Rammstein daar zeker bij. De nieuwe single Zick Zack van het nieuwe album Zeit heeft de befaamde Rammsteinelementen in zich. Rammstein is al sinds jaar en dag echter meer dan een muzikale wals die je plet. De band weet hoe belangrijk het visuele aspect is en de video bij Zick Zack kan ook deze keer weer controveriseel genoemd worden met de kritiek op de botoxgezichten, de plastic fantasic en de liposuctie.
Devil’s Train
Devil’s Train, de band rond R.D. Liapakis, heeft gelukkig een nieuw album aangekondigd. 24 juni zal de band via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records! het derde album Ashes & Bones uitbrengen. De verwachtingen liggen hoog, want de eerste twee albums wisten pers en publiek flink te overtuigen. De eerste single The Devil & The Blues is nu beschikbaar.
Kreator
In de 37 jaar dat Kreator bestaat weet de band steeds een grotere fanbasis te bereiken. Met hard werken en goede thrashmetal klimt de band ook steeds hoger op de festivalladders. 10 juni brengt Kreator alweer het vijftiende album Hate Über Alles uit en Stronges Of The Strong is de tweede single die ze uitbrengen.

Black Stone Cherry
Black Stone Cherry en Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group presenteren de officiële videoclip voor “Ringin’ In My Head”, van het meest recente album van de band THE HUMAN CONDITION. Het album is een wereldwijd succes met meer dan 43,5 miljoen totale streams, waarvan Ringin’ In My Head nu op 3 miljoen staat. De muziekvideo werd geregisseerd door Tom J. Flynn en Mike Watts (Vudu Studios). De clip is opgenomen op de familieboerderij van de familie Young in Edmonton, Kentucky. De locatie is bij sommige kijkers wellicht bekend via de fotoshoot voor de Magic Mountain-verpakking en persfoto’s die op het land zijn vastgelegd, en met name de Kentucky Headhunters-video voor “Walk Softly On This Heart Of Mine”, die gedeeltelijk in dezelfde schuur werd gefilmd zo’n veertig jaar geleden.
Fozzy
Fozzy heeft een nieuwe single met de titel I Still Burn en de single landde vrij snel op nummer 1 op de US rock radio. Er is nu ook een video beschikbaar.

Flowerleaf
Flowerleaf heeft de coronacrisis overleefd en is terug met hun Dreamerie reis. Voorafgaand hieraan brengt de band de single én video van The Storm uit. Het is de eerste single van het album The Dreamerie – Chapter 1: Time

Aenimus
6 mei brengt Aenimus via Nuclear Blast Records de nieuwe EP Sacrificial uit. Tijd voor een video om de EP onder de aandacht te brengen. Daarom kun je de derde single Wasteland bekijken featuring David Benites.

Stinger
Pure rock and roll bij ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records! met de nieuwe video van Stinger. De eerste single Chasing Utopia kent een bijdrage van Billy Sheehan en is afkomstig van het album Expect The Unexptected dat op 13 mei wordt uitgebracht.
Rossometile
Symfonische metal uit Italië kun je krijgen van Rossometile die met Desdemona de zesde single uitbrengen. Desdemona is een vrouwennaam en betekent zoveel als “geboren onder een kwade ster”. Iedereen kan zich echter identificeren met Desdemona. Je zou Desdemona ook kunnen herkennen uit Shakespeare’s Othello waar het lot van de dame in kwestie al is bezegeld en waar zij uiteindelijk sterft. De Italianen vragen zijdelings met de single ook aandacht voor alle vrouwen die slachtoffer zijn van (huiselijk) geweld.
Decapitated
Het begrip Cancer Culture krijgt op 27 mei een nieuwe betekenis wanneer Decapitated het nieuwe album uitbrengt. Je kunt en kon van alles verwachten van deze metallocomotief, maar dat er ooit een duet zou komen bij deze Polen had ik niet 1-2-3 verwacht. De nieuwe single Hello Death is echter gemaakt met Tatiana Shmayluk van Jinjer.
Vogg says, “Jinjer are one of the most interesting metal acts of the last few years. And Tatiana’s vocals in the song will surprise some people. It’s really unique and amazing.
With this song, we have achieved something remarkable. We have combined two different musical styles in ‘Hello Death’. As you all know, we love to add something interesting to our music. With ‘Hello Death’ we managed to unite our style of technical death metal with Tatiana’s vocals, which adds an absolutely different epic dimension. Tatiana has one of the most incredible voices in the metal scene, and it was a wholly different and exciting experience to work with her on this track. Her voice filled the song with other emotions, which completed the meaning behind the lyrics.
